The Channel Islands National Park can be found just simply off the California coast and an exceptional and stress-free destination to pay a visit to, discover and also camp out. It includes five wonderful islands, Anacapa, Santa Cruz, Santa Rosa, San Miguel, and Santa Barbara. Apart from the amazing countryside and fascinating wild life, the islands are also home to the earliest human remains in N . America, the so called Arlington Springs Woman. These remains were revealed in 1959 at a site referred to as Arlington Springs on Santa Rosa Island and are believed to be more than 13,thousand years old. The islands have a Mediterranean climate all year-round and temperatures are remarkably stable, with highs averaging in the mid-60s (Fahrenheit) and lows in the low-50s. Isolation over thousands of years has produced a completely unique ecosystem of animals together with plant life seen nowhere else on the planet and this remoteness in addition has really helped conserve a place where visitors will experience coastal southern California as it once was.
